I have a newbie question. I have a lot of hickory that I am seasoning - what size chunks should i split them in to? I see where people are selling hickory chunks but I dont know the size they are. Want to make sure it burns efficiently in the smoker. Thanks

depends on if you are using them as your main wood for smoking, or as an add in for flavor.........

Sorry about that - I would be using it as my main wood for smoking.

It will also depend on what size pit you're using. Naturally, smaller pits, smaller sticks. For a smaller pit, try starting with sticks about the diameter of a 12oz coke bottle. Length ~12-14-16" or so, as long as it fits comfortably in the firebox.
