| It seems to me that there is a tradition on the Ring where everyone lists what they are cooking for major bbq'ing holidays. So, I'm going to keep it going for the 4th of July. I'll be smoking a brisket flat, beef ribs, two fatties, and picnic shoulder. That should hold me for a while. Ok, what's everybody else smoking? |

2 Butts for a cookout on Wednesday. I'm off the rest of the week after Tues, so I'll probably smoke a brisket over the weekend too. And I can never resist putting a fattie or two on. _________________ --

It's gonna be just me for the 4th (family went to the beach), so I'll do a slab of baby backs, some corn on the cob and garlic smashed potatoes.
Might have to whip up some homemade ice cream too. |

A slab of St LOUIS style ribs, corn on the cob, and cole slaw. That is if it will quit raining in Texas. _________________ TW

One 4 lbs butt, 2 racks of baby backs, corn, pasta salad.
I'm wondering if I should do 3 racks. We're having 12 people (4 pre-teens) but I know the butt will go a long way. My wife always says "thats too much food!" |

My first time smoke this past weekend was a big hit (butt, bbribs, wings) , so I am smoking another butt or two, some babyback ribs, and maybe a chicken on the 4th... I might do a fatty. If my beer gets close enough, I might smoke that as well, and then I will be eyeing that blacksnake that has been hanging around our retaining wall...
BigO, my wife and girls are leaving for the beach tomorrow... I will be just me for the rest of the week.
I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable 4th...

I am planning brisket and ribs. I would like to smoke corn on the cob, does anyone have any tips?
I will probably also do some fatty's for appetizers. _________________ Mike C.

| I'm thinking some baby backs and maybe some chicken legs. Definately some grilled corn on the cob. I'll save the butts for Friday. |
