I was doing some pork shoulder on my Char-Griller last summer. It was a nice sunny day. The meat went in around 8 am. The day was wonderful. I was splashing in the pool with the kids, and thought to myself maybe I should check the charcoal tray to make shure the ashes werent getting too high.(it was around 2p.m). I pulled the drawer out and a hot ember landed on the ground. I put the drawer back in and proceded to step on the ember that I aparently didn't see drop to the ground. Well I don't have to tell many of you the feeling that shot thru my foot, and the many choice words that I shouted out in a fit of sheer anger with myself for being so increadibly stupid to mess with hot coals in bare feet. I couldn't walk on that foot for about a month. I think it burned all the way into the tendon of my foot or something.

I learned a lot that day! Embarassed

Kevin
