While in Vegas last week I received an email from a construction Co wanting the Brisket, ribs and Chicken for 300+. (I posted a note about it at the time).

My price for this meal was $22.77 inclusive of tax and gratuity.

Finally I called him from Vegas (he thought I was sitting in my office.. Wink ) and come to find out his 'budget' was $16.00 a person INCLUSIVE of tax and gratuity Crying or Very sad .

So I sharpened my pencil and figured I could offer him pulled pork sandwiches & 1/4 chicken (both white and dark) with 3 sides and all the plate service for the price of $16.00.

Today I heard back from him and he TOOK THE DEAL!! PLus raised his order to 350 guests....

Now I just have to round up HELP Shocked Shocked

Way to go there Marv!! I'm just finishing eating a low country boil that I put on for my work area. YUM! It came out great, but ended up with way too much food as always. Just have a fear of running out.
Good luck on your gig!

I have YET to try this (but I WILL someday..soon). ALways wanted to try this after eating at a place on the pier in Seattle that served this. We took my bro from Vegas there once and he liked it so well he wanted to take his wife there the next time they came up (a few months later).

I thought it was great that my bro (who has eaten at some of the best places around..in Vegas) liked this kind of food.

Its the easiest thing in the world to cook. I'm heading to North Myrtle Beach tommorow and have already made plans to cook this while I'm down there.

We call it Beaufort Stew (Beaufort is a town in the Lowcountry of South Carolina)

Simply, equal amounts of Potatos (usually red), Corn (on the cob), Keilbasa, and Shrimp.

Boil several quarts of water and add Old Bay.

Put in the potatoes, wait 10 min
Put in the corn, wait 5 min
Put in the sausage, wait 2 min
Put in the shrimp, wait 2 minutes
Drain and serve (on newspaper if you want to be authentic) Cool
Next to Barbeque, my favorite thing to eat in the world. Just lucky to grow up in SC, I guess.

Wow, Beaufort, SC being refered to as "Northern." Only by a Cajun. <Grin>

It was not taken as an insult. It was just funny to think about Beaufort as "Northern.

Sorry if I was misunderstood.
