i used some mulberry (mixed 50/50 with hickory) for the first time last night WOW this is a great smoking wood! very pleasant aroma and a nice twist on the flavor for my chickens and pork. i was very pleased! i have a cord of it in my back yard from cutting down my grandparents old mulberry tree and was a little leary of using it but looks like i made a score on this one. _________________ Jp

Yep, I am one of them. I have both a fruited and a non- fruited and the only place I use them is in the fire place. When it comes to mulberry, been there, done that, bought the tee shirt. _________________ https://www.linkedin.com/in/michaeloberry |

how long did you let it dry?
My moms got one at her place that needs to come down. I havent cut it down cause of the bad hype and she don`t burn wood for heat.
At least a year or longer? |

i just cut it down in january but it had some dead in it already (at least a year) so i picked out some of the wrist sized barkless mini log sized pieces and threw them on with the hickory _________________ Jp

I have used mulberry exclusively for two years and no complaints from me or any of the dozens of consumers. However we are all different and some people will just not like it.
I only have enough for xmas hams etc left so am now using mango wood and seems to also be acceptable. |

| I`ve got a standing dead cherry tree to cut down at my Mom`s so i think i`ll cut off some of the lower branches off that mulberry and split and/or chunk some up. |
