Hey all. Just found this site and am loving it! Thought I'd share a trick I use for my wood chips. I keep them in a pump sprayer with a wide 'fill hole' so I can reach in and grab them. By keeping them in the pump sprayer, I can keep them in water under pressure so they take on more water and smolder longer. Also, this gives me some good woody water on hand for refilling my water pan or calming down hot spots. Need more chips? I just release the pressure and grab some. I've found that keeping them under pressure keeps the 'scum' from building up in the water and I can keep them on hand soaked and ready!
Hope this helps, works great for me! |
