| i am going to be cutting down some crabapple trees at work and was wondering if they would be usable for smokin? has anyone ever used crabapple or know anything about it? thanks in advance for any input! |

| Jeff, thanks for the info! I probably should have done a search of the site before i asked the qusestion, but thanks once again. Now i can't wait to get some of those trees down so they can begin to dry out. If i remember a past thread, they will need somewhere between 6 months to a year to dry out? does that seem right? |

No problem there are other thought in that post also.
Yea six months to a year. I cut & split apple limbs etc and store them in my yard barn and by fall there good to go. See it gets real hot in there during the summer months so they dry out pretty fast. A little trick i figured out. Works for me.  |
