This site has been the source of so many recipies and so many added lbs to my belly. Many great discussions and ideas.
Like many here I was never a big poster but used to read the forum religiously every day. Even though I have been smoking food for 30+ years my enthusiasm waned for a while. But after a couple of cooks recently I realized what I was missing and look forward to getting back at it. Maybe like cooking I will try to visit here again more often. |

Ben a bit busy here....On BBQ rig / food truck #3, but cant seem to show y'all....The real downfall began when the owner of this site telling 'stories' then banning people for proving them to be 'stories' to playing his personal politics while banning others for mentioning them, to him blocking people on fb where he at least used to spend a lot of time, ignoring his own forum....Most just got sick of it and moved on.
I am friends with MANY on FB, where we can talk more freely than here [ go figure ]
I cut my BBQ teeth on this forum, and truly miss it too!! Good to see a few still hanging on! _________________ Money Maker

i'm one of the guilty.
just my $0.02 but it seemed like there was too much "look at what i am eating" and not enough bbq talk. sometimes the pics werent even bbq or outdoor cooking.
not dinging anyone or trying to be a downer just an opinion about why folks drift away. |

Same here! I learned so freakin' much when I first got on here many moons ago. Still friends with BBQMAN, Roxy, Mr. & Mrs. K.A.M., SoEzzy, and many others on Facebook.

Yeah, it didn't used to be that way. I remember when everyone was constantly at each others' throats in the Catering section. _________________ "The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits" - Albert Einstein |

Agree with that.
The "Look what I am eating" folks drove everyone else away, and then they left too, as there was no one left to see what they were eating. |

Hey all!
Just checking in.
I miss this place. Just got out of the habit of visiting.
The last couple of years I have bought a house and switched jobs a couple of times. It's been a roller-coaster.
It's nice visiting again. _________________ Camp Chef Pro90 Stove w/ Griddle
