Hi guys,
Can anyone help with how to build the burners that are used in the big barrel type chili roasters?
I would like to know how the propane gas jets are made and how to introduce air in the mix.
I have no problem with either mig or tig welding as I have done Race car prep and fabrication since high school (36 years ago). I can also do any machine work if needed to make these.
Thanks,
Bob C. |

I've built a few roasters,
I use a length of 1" pipe equall to length of Roaster, drilled and threaded 1/4" x20 every 8"
Screw in a .035 might tip, and weld a piece of 1 1/2 square tube around mig tip.
Leaving top and bottom of square tube open to allow air flow.
Sorry , no pics to share. |

Hey Ernie,
Thanks for the reply. I knew these couldn't be hard to make and the way you describe this, they are dead simple. now it's time to get material and get started. |
