|
|
Hello everyone. I am from Southern California and a beginner at this smoking thing. I have a cheap Electric Smoker my brother hooked me up from Aldi over the summer and been doing my research on BBQ. I plan on upgrading to something better and yet in my price range in the future.
I love food and cooking and smoking seems right down my alley. What better way to enjoy the So Cal weather than to sit out on the patio on a Saturday morning starting up the smoker and enjoying a beverage.
So far I have done a couple racks of ribs, and some bacon wrapped boneless, skinless chicken thighs. Looking to do some Tri Tip (wife's favorite), and eventually a brisket. |

Thanks for the welcome.
My friend has the PitBarrel, and I liked how it worked and was thinking about that in the future. |

Welcome to the ring MrStik, looking forward to seeing some pics of your cooks.
Look at the 22.5" WSM it cost a bit more but it will outlast drum cookers. _________________ Always remember slow and steady wins the race.

I discovered Tri Tip in San Diego California while on tour with the NBBQA National BBQ Association a few years ago. They used oak wood, started it in the smoker, then the charcoal grill, sliced it up very thin. It was new to me and was like an awesome roast beef, smokey flavor. My eyes lit right up! _________________ Loving Everything Backyard BBQ! |
