Hey all - new to the forum and couldn't find this on the board anywhere, so I thought I would ask. I have had a serious issue with wind blowing/ripping my grill covers, to the point that I'm going through 2-3 a year. I live in SE Minnesota, where it gets pretty windy (Rochester, Minnesota - average wind speed of 12.6 mph) and I can't seem to find a heavy duty grill cover that lasts one summer. I've tried tying it down with straps, as well as anchoring it to some posts in the ground. Has anyone else experienced this, or found solutions to prevent this from happening? My next step might be some rare earth magnets to keep the cover down on all sides!

You should get a good cover to protect the covers. Rolling Eyes

What type of grills are you trying to keep covered?

I would buy an oversized tarp and bring the sides underneath the grill so the grill would sit on it and hold it in place. The take a few bungee cords and wrap around it in a couple of spots to keep it from flapping in the wind. I would try to place it against a wall to help shield it from the wind as well.

I would think about a wind break, either out of shrubs, fencing or bricks and blocks.

Or if you can move it close to a wall or othur structure?

These folks seem to get good reviews.

I would talk to them to get their advice.
