Hi from Italy

I bought a 110 gallon steel drum
I need to use this UDS between 225F and 450F
Are three air intake of 2 inches enought?

Thanks to all
Michele

2" total, or 3 x 2" total?

I run 85 gallon drums, I use 6 equally spaced holes of 3/4" each, when starting the fire they are all open, if I'm aiming for 250°, then I shut 2 at 210° - 215°, I shut another 2 at 235° and the 5th at 245° and the pit will settle in at 250°.

If I want to go up to 300° - 315°, (about as hot as I ever BBQ), I use 1 more 3/4" hole to get up to that temperature.

The 6 holes total area are 2.6" sq, and they are only open for the first 15 - 20 minutes of the warm up.

I use the 2" bung hole, the 1" bung hole, and 8 x 3/4" holes in the lid for a total of 7.46"sq worth of exhaust.

Could you explain what do you mean?
How I can calculate the right volume of the intake / exhaust holes?
Is there a schedule or anything else?

Thanks for all
I hope you have a nice day
Michele.

Three 2" ID intakes is plenty for a 110 gall drum.
I would use a 3" ID exhaust 4" to 6" tall.
