I'm getting ready to cook a whole hog for the first time on my newly built smoker. I've done them before on a La Caja China (...while it worked, it's basically the reason why I built the smoker), I was looking for a little help on setting up the cook on the smoker. Basically I'm looking to see...

1. How much wood it would take
2. Approximate cook time (about 1 hour/10 lbs?)
3. Should I switch to charcoal after a certain amount of time?
4. Should I wrap the whole hog? (I only ask this because I've heard of being done this way and I don't know if it's better than leaving it open)

Thanks in advance everyone

Sam
