FINALLY got a start on the new cooker this week. A few more decisions to be made, but those can be done as we go along. So far the choices are to have a 6 foot CC from the 30" diameter, .492 wall thickness pipe. A insulated cabinet to include a FB and warming cabinet with adjustable shelves. All mounted to a trailer for ease of transport.

I just got started but here a few pictures to show what i am working with and progress so far.

First, got access to a plasma cutting table that a friend has (he's a welding instructor and classroom got new one). Issue was the program that was sent was "greek" to him, however it is similar to my graphic arts program for screen printing and vinyl decals, so I could help him master that program for his teaching, and i can get parts cut easier.

We made saddles for pipe and trailer light housings first. Trailer has completely new 3500# axle, mounts, suspension, hubs, etc..

Saddles cut and mounted. 1/4" plate, welded to the 2x2x1/4 box tubing. Trailer is 3"angle x 1/4, with 2x2x1/4 box tubing underneath and triangulated to tongue.

Then framed up the insulated cabinet and firebox. Cabinet and firebox after all sides placed will be same width as pipe. FB is 24"h x 28"w x 26"d. Overall cabinet is 66"h. Calculators on here were used for FB, tank openings, etc.

Then got the pipe picked up. Not welded on yet, for adjustment reasons of course.

Tank ends were cut and a few FB internal sides were cut.. Here was test fitting the tank end to FB and checking alignment of openings.

that is all for now.. hopefully more progress soon.. Any ideas or suggestions are always appreciated. Thanks
