Hey guys,
I'm new to the forum and need some advice. I'm planning on buying a smoker soon and can't decide on which one to get. After doing much research, I'm stuck whether or not to get the Weber Smokey Mountain or the Broil King Smoke Vertical Smoker. Both are used with Charcoal, but with the Broil king, it is supplied with multiple racks and hooks. Unfortunately, by watching the video on their home page, the Broil king Smoker can only handle a pan of charcoal rather than a small pit like the Weber Smokey Mountain. Maybe because the Broil king doesn't need much to get the same smokey taste? the broil King smoker is also equipped with a holder for roasts to help with catching all the juices that is left behind to make gravy. There are a ton of great videos of people using the Weber Smokey Mountain but not as much on the Weber.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks guys!
Darryl

I do not know much about the Broil king but we own both the 18.5" and the 22.5" WSM's and after reading the specs on the Broil king I would say buy the WSM. They are built to last a life time and backed by Weber customer service. The 22.5" will cook for a large party or for a small family.

I personally haven't used either one, but I know there are several members here that use WSMs and really seem to like them.

I can, however, vouch for Weber's customer service.
When the bowl on my 6 yr old, $30 smokey joe burned through, they sent me a new bowl and legs within a week of calling customer service, no questions asked.
