My pit is paid in full, and so is my Fab B. I wouldn't even use the Fab B though, I would want to keep it somewhat close. _________________ Alex

Hey folks if you want to try a brisket marinade that we have been working on since March it is now ready for retail. The product has been used in 4 comps recently (not all by the same cook) has won one 1st, two 2nd, and a single 3rd. In comps as small as 15 teams and as large as 70 teams. Used in central U.S. and in the Florida area.
I sell it in 5lb bags for $30.00 plus shipping. Email me for info or orders, DDDshooter@aol.com. |

are you buying free range beef with no hormones or chemicals added to their food? Maybe Fab B doesn't look that bad after all. _________________ Alex

| It is a marinade that is a knock off of fab b. It has the same properties as it does and does the same flavors as it does, just less price and ready for shipping. We started cooking with this 1st of the year and had help with it from 2 nationally known cooks that tested it for us and gave us thier comments. We have since changed the marinade and have started useing it in comps with winning results. The exaxt ingredants are on the label if you want them call and order some and you will have them. |

David, sorry but you are going to get blasted by some folks, many who have never tried it, seen it or tasted it, but they have googled it. I like fab b, tried it for the first time a few months ago and it definately adds flavor and moisture. _________________ Alex

I don't think FAB products are really meant to be a maranade, they are for injecting.I spoke to Mr. Ames about using a mixture of FAB for maranading briskets, pork butts, ribs, etc. and he said it is a waste of time to do that,it needs to be injected.I have a GREAT brisket maranade that has worked well in comps, but the FAB or a FAB knock-off I don't think will do as a maranade. _________________ "BBQ Bullies" competition BBQ team. |

It may be a semantic issue, David is a professional butcher.
I know he and others who have used his product inject with it. _________________ Klose 72" Mobile

This is getting better by the page. Now we have original FAB, a pharmicist's "improvement", and a generic knockoff ready to flood the market.
And still all (or some) of us in the middle of the pack are chasing whatever the real top dog teams are really winning with or we think they are winning with. Do you think they are REALLY telling us so we can buy it and win too or just slapping a sticker on their trailer, pimping it to us, cashing endorsement checks and cooking their good old champion way. Who knows, but it's damn fun to watch. I love it!
And to top it off, we have a real live Smoke Ring Throwdown going on. _________________ D. Tillery

And after all is said and done the only real product out here is still the FAB product. No one has yet to actually show any other product like the FAB product,it just doesn't exist at this time. _________________ "BBQ Bullies" competition BBQ team. |

Oh,I would, what I mean is that there are several people that say they have a product similar, if not almost exactly like the FAB product, however none have been able to actually produce or have availability of such products.I know there are some teams using stuff that isn't avaibale yet ,and may never be because the teams don't want the secret getting out.I have used the FAB and and I have not used the FAB and won,so I guess it's up to each induvidual.I have a comp coming up the end of August and I will cook 2 butts and 2 briskets, one with FAB,the other without, and the one that looks, tastes, better will be turned in to the judges,it could go either way ! _________________ "BBQ Bullies" competition BBQ team. |

David's product is for real, is in production, is available for purchase, is doing well in comps with heavy hitter entrants, and has been tested by some very big name cooks.
If you will notice, David said very little about this until it was tweaked to his liking.
David had the chance to blow his horn while hanging out with a group of very accomplished cooks(the kind of guys anyone would want to endorse their product) prior to the awards in Claremore. I asked him how the product development was going, he acted like he had just about given up. Very discreet.
I'll be testing David's product soon... _________________ Klose 72" Mobile

...and what I'm saying is there is a product, that you'd probably like even better than Fab B, that is actually being produced and is available to be shipped to you right now. I've seen the product, Ive seen it being used at contests....and it's been offered up here on the forum. It's not my kinda thing, so I haven't personally used it, but if you send David some money, he'll ship a 5 lb tub of it right to ya'.
So when do I get the farm?? _________________ Mike
