The lang is a reverse flow cooker and the Yoder is a conventional offset Dan. Do you know which you type cooker you would prefer? _________________ Always remember slow and steady wins the race.

I would have liked to have mentioned Paul and Tyler's cookers but you asked about the Yoder or lang.
In my opinion Paul and Tyler Shirley build a better cooker than the other two listed.
They can also build what ever you like.
Again this is just my opinion from a builders standpoint. _________________ Always remember slow and steady wins the race.

Hi I was hearing the same thing, about how good the Shirley's are. I even got a quote Tyler, almost the same as the Lang.
With the Shirley I would have to arrange for shipping to New Jersey, got a few quotes from U- ship, they were more then the shipping from Lang or Yoder.
Still have some time to think about my decision, no rush since winter is nearing hear in NJ.
Thanks DanB |

I have a Lang 84 and two of my friends have the Lang 36 patio units. They both really like their Langs and I moved from a Lang 60 to an 84 so I have had two and have really enjoyed cooking on both. I've never used a Yoder. I personally prefer reverse flow so that strongly influences my choice of cookers. _________________ Smoking on a Lang 84 Deluxe and Lang 36. |

Hi All So I guess RF is the way to go. That leaves it between a Lang and a Shirey. Now I need to find a reasonable shipper.
Thanks Dan |

Oh I wouldn't say that I prefer tuning plates over a reverse flow.
The good thing is Paul can build either for you. _________________ Always remember slow and steady wins the race.
