Man, I look forward to this every year. Love how the house just smells of the brine. Making up two gallons of the brine for an 18 pound turkey. Gonna smoke it up Thursday! Happy Thanksgiving you rag tag Ringers!

I've got 2 13 pounders in the brining bucket but I'm going to drown them this year.

You are right about the Smokin Okie brine. They need to make that into a perfume or something.

Happy Thansgiving to you as well.

Thanks everyone. Man, I went to the grocery store last night. It was a complete madhouse! Man! I hope I have everything I need I don't want to get back in that mess.

On the other hand it's a nice day today warmish even. May have to fire up a cigar and take advantage of it.

Take care my friends.

Oh man. I worked at a Safeway when I was 15-16. Thanksgiving Day and Superbowl Sunday were by far the craziest days to work.

Nice. It's supposed to be sunny and 45 here for the next few days, so I definitely see a turkey-tending-stogie or two in my future Very Happy

And happy T-Day to all y'all, too. I love the smell of SO's brine too, but this year no brine for me Crying or Very sad I'm making Gumbo with a smoked bird instead. Gonna be GREAT! Laughing Add in a 40 pound box of Oysters (with homegrown Horseradish) with a bunch of Blue Crabs, and we got us a Thanksgiving Laughing
