Is there a thermometer I can monitor on Wi-Fi so I can monitor my smoker and see it on my phone when I'm not at home

Take a look at the iGrill, works via Bluetooth, to an app on my phone, two probes.

I have had mine for a couple of years.. Like it, goes through AA batterys though.

Typically i use one probe for smoker temp, and the other in a meat i am cooking

Hey, Kurt! Very Happy

If it were me, I would also choose the igrill unit http://idevicesinc.com/igrill/igrill2/ Wink

In My Honest Opinion, I would stay away from this-

Just my

...

YMMV. Wink

Best Regards,

Tony Very Happy

Heatermeter..... You can buy completely built or test your soldering skills and build yourself. I've been using mine for years now and love it!!

Just to clarify..
Mine is the first generation. Not the one in the link above..

I am happy with the way mine works.. But now considering the igrill 2, because it has 4 probes..

From what I know, and I dont own a Igrill 2, just the older first gen model..

I am pretty sure they only work on blue tooth..

There are some Youtube reviews of them .. They were pretty detailed... check you tube.

Just bought and returned an iGrill 2. I must have gotten a bad one. No more than 15 feet on my Bluetooth before it would die. When I would get back in rang, the base unit would start oscillating between the probes and I would have to shut it down to make it stop. After no assistance from IDevices, I took the unit back for a refund. I really wanted the iGrill 2 but it apparently was not meant to be.

I'm looking for a wifi one so we can smoke in our vending trailer at an event or in our driveway and I don't have to be home or close enough for bluetooth.

The only other thing I thought of would be a wireless wifi security camera that I can log into from my cell phone, the set the camera up to watch the thermometer on the smoker, no alarm though if smoker acts up though.

I've never used one of these as I'm totally new to smoking but done a lot of investigation into this and came across Tappecue, it's uses wifi at home or anywhere you allow it to connect to. Or you can use your phone or such as a hotspot for it. I've emailed them quite a bit with queries and they have been most helpful and patient. I usually get an answer by end of the day. It does cost a bit more than iGrill2

It has 4 probes as standard and the reviews on it seem pretty good.

When I bought my new to me smoker, I mentioned getting an igrill to the guy. He said dont bother for commercial purposes as he had one for competition and it lasted 3 weekends! Said it was really nice while it lasted, even shared his data he saved etc. with me, but said they are definitely not for commercial purposes Crying or Very sad

I will have to take a look at the Tappecue. I would settle for a 4 probe With an RF transmitter and receiver. I wish the Thermoworks Thermoque had RF with remote. That looks like a great unit but a little pricey since the probes are purchased separately or as a kit. Yhe Thermoworks uses thermocouple probes which are very fast and accurate.

As mentioned earlier, HeaterMeter connects to wifi, ...and with a little savvy is internet-reachable. I can monitor mine via web-browser or Pitmeter app on my phone anywhere I have internet access.
