Hey All,
I need some help.....Got a Millermatic 135 MIG machine. I was welding with it last night and all was good. I stuck the tip and had to change tips. When we did that and started welding again, we got porosity in the welds. Got to looking and gas was out or low. I changed cylinders today but am still getting porosity. When you pull the trigger you can hear a puff of gas but not continuous flow. I verified by sticking whip in a bucket of water.....initial blip, but no continuous gas flow. Any one have any ideas what is wrong or what to check???? The Gas stuff is inside the enclosure and I'm trying to figure out if I can fiddle with it or if we need to take it in to the LWS....
Thanks,

I have not had that problem.
I'd try to find the solenoid valve and tap on that a few times 1st.
The trigger is working.
or Try letting the trigger out just a little bit when you start.
Could have a dead spot on the contact in the trigger. |
