Battery Box for 8 pieces of AA Alkaline Battery

Battery is not included. Please buy your battery locally

Battery drives QMaster-Lite for 10 to 20 hours.
So why BBQ Guru PartyQ.
QMaster-Lite plus battery box is another option

For the time being, the battery box is free give away if you buy QMaster-Lite

You guys may suspect how the QMaster-Lite works.
Be honest I was worrying about it too. Anyhow it was a new product.
Now I get the very first feedback, it says:

Re: QMaster-Lite is ready, send me address for delivery plea

If you turn B 90 degree, the flap inside will not work.
But it shall be OK. Anyhow any other brand does not even have a flap inside.
If flap does not work, you simply need to seal the outlet better to kill/limit the natural draft

I'll seal the outlet better and see how I go. I had another go with the unit the yesterday and I managed to get my temps to hover around 230f for 5+ hours so that's good Very Happy

I read through the thread the link posted to the Aussie BBQ forum took me to.

It seems incongrouous to offer a PID controller where I=0 (zero integral action) works best? Confused

And most buyers are new members for testimonial, not veterans. Hmmm . . .

If you buy a turkey, you do not need to eat all of it including bone.
If I bought testimonial, I would have bought it on American BBQ forums instead of Austalian forum, the later has just 10% potential of the former.
No more explain regarding these two issues

No matter what you're selling, the veterans aren't the ones buying, is the point - which you probably did grasp but chose to misdirect as buying influence.

Since the Aussie non-veterans are the ones primarily funding your kickstarter per your own posts in the thread you posted a link to.

You do sound like you have some experience with trying to buy influence though. Is the problem one of no Americans selling testimonials for you?

Robert- I Do Believe That Wang Inferred to You as Being "Stupid!" Shocked

Maybe Wang Should Refer to the Smoke Ring Forum Rules Regarding Name Calling, Flaming, etc. Razz

(After All-He was already bounced out of The Forums for Rule Infringement! Shocked Laughing )

Also, Wang- "Spell Check" May Be Your Only Friend Here...
You may want to take Advantage of a Good Thing-(Made Here in America!) Cool

Well Wang I have no idea how many people are more stupid than you, but I bet in China it would be a very small number of the over a billion citizens. Hence why you market elsewhere. But I don't think souls are for sale to anyone even on eBay, which is why you cannot purchase 16 American souls. Anyone can see that.

Looks like Char-Broil has scooped you for the North American market though, and has true Wi-Fi technology unlike the wGrill.

Their name Smart Chef certainly is the opposite of what you name your experimental devices.

What Then, Brother May The Cost Be? Wink

Naively, I had to go to Wikipedia to gain Knowledge of What
the term "Shill" had meaning of...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shill

I Am Now a Bit More Enlightened Than I Was Before I Brought Up Your Reply. Wink Cool

Hopefully Mr. Wang Might Take Some Credence in This.

Thank You, Chris! Cool

Best Regards,

Tony Wink

HUH? I didn't read the specs, but...Really?? I know a little bit about them 'puter thingys, and last I remember 1=on and 0=not on. I can count to 'F' (from 0), so am I missing something, or just stupid? (could be Laughing )

For QMaster-Lite, P=5,I=0,D=2 work better for most smokers. It will predict tendency of change and take action in advance. Say your target is 225F. Your smoker temp. rises from 200F and up, the fan may stop spinning even when the temp. is 220F. Even the fan stops, the temperature may continue to climb to 228F. Then it will begin to drop. The fan may start spinning again even when temp. is 227F. The temp. may continue to drop to 223F and begin to rise again. If the fan did not start in advance, say started at 225F, the temp. would countine to drop to 220F, and then begin to rise. By PID control, temp swing may be 228-223F=5F.

If you set P=0, you will disable P.I.D. math, then the Lite becomes an old type thermostat. Say your target is 225F. When temp. reaches to 225F, the fan will stop spinning, but the temp. may still climb to 235F, and then start to drop. When temp. is 223F, the fan will start spinning again. But the temp. may continue to drop till 215F and then start to rise again. This way temp. swing is 235-215=20F.

If you fine tune data of P,I,D for your own smoker, temp. swing can be as less as + - 1F. Tuning P,I,D, is a process of trial and error. If you have interest, time, patient, you best do it.
If P,I,D, data is not correct, the temperature can go crazy! In this case, you have to set P=0 to disable PID math.
Fortunately so far I do not hear any user set P=0.

Default of Lite is P=5,I=2,D=2. For some I set back I=0 before delivery, for others I forget to set it back. If your temp. go crazy, set I=0.

You still seem to not be able to grasp that more than trial and error can be used for PID controller tuning. I have tuned many controllers on far more complex processes than your little combustion fan for a number of years. I have mentioned Zeigler-Nichols method and associated step testing here with you before. Here's a link in American English

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PID_controller

Here's a link you should be able to read (but based on your track record still not comprehend).

https://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/PID%E6%8E%A7%E5%88%B6%E5%99%A8

You insist method 4.4 is the only way but the rest of the world has known this is false for a long time - see method 4.5, and section 4.6.

Thus the wise man reveals the truth rather than the man who strives to deceive and conceal the truth by braying how unsophisticated he is in these matters.
