Soooooo........What did you get??? Laughing

Publix can be really expensive on some items - Especially meats. And the quality is horrible on non-beef meats (Their steaks are Choice, but expensive). Their chicken parts are so 'enhanced' they shrink by nearly half and their beef ribs are trimmed so much all you're buying are soup bones Twisted Evil I go to a Mexican butcher across the street from my local Publix where the price is half, and the quality is double.

You are right about Publix but they are the largest in this area and they are community aware. A couple yrs. ago when a hurricane wiped out Arcadia just north of us I approached them about helping feed the emergency workers and newly homeless. They donated over 400 lbs. of meats, 3 racks of bread & buns, & 1200 styro packs. As to me I bought 3 lbs. as I had a real taste for a fried Sammy and some bologna salad. I guess it is time to get out the grinder...
