So, I finnaly entered my first KCBS comp. I've got a couple of guys who will be there that have offered some adice.
What advice would you give to a KCBS virgin?
The comp is this weekend. At this point I plan on using my Backwoods competitor and leaving the stickburner at home. as far as catagories my biggest concern is chicken, I've never done it in the backwoods, only on a weber or in an ECB. What would you use? _________________ Dizzy Daddy BBQ, Damn its good! |

If you have the room pack the Weber if you are used to using it for chicken.
Put the big meats on the Backwoods, chicken on the grill.
Don't experiment at competitions, do you experimenting before, (unless you have an emergency, in which case experiment the heck out of it to get it all back on track)!
Hydrate yourself and remember to eat... if you want a clear head, stay off the booze until after the last turn in!
Print out one of the competition check lists and check the list!
Good luck, have fun, take pictures, post! _________________ Here's a change Robert.
