| There's two places that come to mind when I think of BBQ. If you happen to find yourself on the West side of Houston, out towards Spring, TX, then head South of I-10 to Dozier's Meat Market in Fulshear. They have the best ribs I've ever had, served dry, sauce if you ask for it. The second place is in Richmond Texas, or really just outside the city proper. Going East on Hwy 90 from Richmond on the right hand side you will see a little tin shack on the side of the road, Plantation BBQ, ask for a sliced brisket sandwich with everything. They cook a better brisket than most places in and around Houston. |

| Hey Jim I am so glad to see someone mention Dozier's on here. They have great Q and its a real throwback old school BBQ counter in the back of a little store. I have never been to Plantation because when I'm out there area I always make the drive to the Swinging Door BBQ off 359. They have some great brisket and they also have a big dance hall open at night in the back. Both of these places are places that are great BBQ spots that are off the main road. |
