So we are kind of on a brisket kick... ourselves and the in-laws love eating them and we enjoy cooking them to see the end results. We will be posting quite a few more brisket cooks in the future as we got a bargain on a case of packer briskets!
Brisket was seasoned with Tatonka Dust seasoning and Turbinado sugar and smoked with cherry.
-----
Here is the brisket a few hours in to the cook.
-----
Burnt ends in a foil pan with a little more Tatonka Dust Seasoning and Turbinado sugar and about 1/3 of a can of Budweiser beer.
-----
-----
Thanks for looking! |

Man, that looks great! Briskies are just so damn expensive nowadays I haven't done one in a while, but I'm thinking about doing one for New Years. And Burnt Ends...YUM!!! I make a sammie with Provolone cheese (like a Meatball sub) and it's phenomenal. _________________ The Matt Ryan of LIARS! (#2)

I hear you on price. Got a case of them for $3.29 per pound, burger here runs $4.50 per pound... it was a no brainer! |

Mossy, I am doing an 18 lb brisket this weekend and would like to do what you did with the burnt ends, did you throw them back on the smoker after you seasoned and put the beer on them?
Thanks. |

Yes, I put them back on the grill to render out the fat. |
