Was a nice weekend had folks over Saturday and Sunday for chow.

Toby was my assistant all weekend.

Drip beans on Saturday.

Picked up this dish specifically for using for drip beans when cooking for a smaller crowd.

My Honey made her jalapeno dip and homemade chips (from torts).

Potato Bud casserole and corn pudding.

A little 8.5 pound butt, pulled.

and slaw.

We call these Blondies others call these brown sugar brownies.
That was chow for Saturday for 12 folks.

My buddy sent me this pic of his brand spanking new WSM. He was going to smoke up some spares and a chicken for his maiden voyage. He said the chix turned out fantastic but the ribs, while flavorful were a little tough. Not bad for his first time out!

Sunday morning fatty. Sliced up a jalapeno and pressed into the sausage.

A little pepperjack cheese.

Some rub.

Brisket ready.

A little 9 pound brisket and the fatty on the smoker.

Biscuits ready.

Fatty ready.

Drip beans for Sunday supper.

Brisket done.

Also had more corn pudding and twice baked taters and a salad.

Made fried ice cream for dessert.

Fed 11 folks Sunday. It was a nice weekend. Sat by the fire both nights jawing and laughing. It was a good weekend.

JD, that is the best looking chow I've seen posted in a while. I thought the beans and the fatty looked great, but it all looked super. Made me wish you had moved to E Texas. Thanks for sharing. Tom
