Finally got around to registering on here. I've used the site for a lot of good info on my offset build, just want to say thanks to everyone who contributed. I'm at the point in my build where I might need a few suggestions. I'll post a build thread with some pics as soon as I figure out how. Thanks.

I guess I should introduce myself a little better. I'm a firefighter out here, in my off time I love drinking beer, relaxing, eating and playing with fire, so building a smoker seemed like the natural thing to do. I've always wanted a well built heavy gauge steel smoker, but couldn't see spending a couple grand on one so I've been slowly building one as cheap as possible. My beast is a 4' long cooking chamber with a 2' fire box all out of 24" diameter 3/8" pipe. I'll get some pics up soon.
