Hey All,

I am new to this forum and look forward to educating myself to become a better cook. I've been cooking for years, but nothing competitive (do not really care to either). My specialty was always soups/stews (various chili recipes, sausage and potato soup, spicy chicken tortilla soup, and many more) and fairly simple meals like pastas, grilled food, etc.

Over 10+ years ago, I was a part time cook/food prep guy at both a breakfast restaurant and local italian restaurant/pizza shop. So I learned quite a bit and carried it with me. I like making my own dough/pasta. My problem has always been consistency, though. My meals are always different because I fail to measure stuff perfectly. lol

I picked up a Blackstone Griddle 36" from Lowe's this week and fired it up yesterday for the first time. I'm in love. It brought me back to the restaurant days and I just wanted to cook for hours. I spent some time again with it today and am in love.

Joining this forum has allowed me to view/share recipes, learn best practices, and it will open a door for me to explore my hobby even further.

Pics from yesterday:

Thanks! That last pic is some simple "pizzas" with a little commercial BBQ sauce, grilled chicken, sauteed mushroom and onion, and cheese. I made them again today due to popular demand but added turkey bacon. Great little appetizers!

Tomorrow is quesadillas with mushroom, chicken, and pineapple with some fried rice and corn. Twisted Evil

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Scott - I am located about 20 minutes from Pottsville in a country setting, pretty much in the middle of nowhere. Quite a ways south east from Potter County. I've been to Tioga County a handful of times and my Dad used to go snowmobiling through PC years ago.

Cool, I used to commute to WB for work and drove right through that area every day. My commuting days are over now. Smile
