Freedom trail, tour and game at Fenway for sure. Duck tour was kinda cool too. Lots of good local food to be had as well! _________________ Jason

| You might try Sweet Cheeks Q. The briskets not bad for yankee land and the buttermilk fried chicken is great... |

Paul hit on all the major things... I guess it depends on your tastes, to which ones you gravitate to (historical, fun, sports, etc).
For food, I'd stay away from BBQ up here. Although there are some good ones, you'll probably be disappointed. Go with more local flavors... N. Atlantic seafood, lobster, Italian can be really good up here.
Have fun and enjoy your trip. _________________ WSMx2, Genesis Silver B, & BabyQ |

Oops. You're right. We don't eat seafood, but it is the thing to have if you're in New England.
If you have a car check out the New England coast places here.

Thanks...will be there a week. I will have a car...but a friend told me to watch out because it can get very busy, but i do like the convenience of having my own wheels. I will have to feel that one out. Did the RI. mansions ...amazing that they were just summer homes
Rinngrizz
all on the list...we will see how long a week really is always too short
jess
i won't do Q unless it gets 5 stars Now if you said you HAVE to hit this joint I'd be there in a flash
tinovr
We love the history, fun and sports....thats what is hard to do in a week...my old neighbor manages the TB baseball team an they are going to be there when we are, might try to squeeze them in it will be tough.
PaulOinMA I will check it out.
keep the food ideas coming...local guys know where to find the best back street joints
Lantern a member here got me some great ones when i went to Asheville.
Thanks again _________________ RF Smoker

Just walk around the north end for Italian. Hanover Street, Fleet Street, and a few other side streets. A lot of them have great early bird deals.
If you are pressed for time, just want to grab a quick bite, and not spend time and money on food, McCormick & Schmick's in Fanueil Hall Market Place used to have a very inexpensive early bar menu as long as you buy a drink. My wife and I used to do the burger and fries for a few dollars before shows at the Bank of America pavilion. _________________ Pitt's & Spitt's U2436 |

Are you driving here from PA? If yes, when are you headed back? The Nautilus museum in CT is worth checking out. _________________ Pitt's & Spitt's U2436 |

How are you driving up?
I avoid 95 through CT and RI.
I do Tappan Zee - Merritt-Wilbur Cross Parkway - 91 - 84 - 90. _________________ Pitt's & Spitt's U2436 |

The Mark Twain House in Hartford is really neat if you do 84.
http://www.marktwainhouse.org/
He was just a final Jeopardy answer: "The monument for his grave in Elmira, New York is 2 fathoms tall."
Good BBQ place not far form the Mark Twain house.
