I'm wanting to either mount my pit on a trialer or build one from scratch.
I'd like to see how your's are set up. I need some ideas!!!
Can you please post pics of your pits?

Thanks

That is some awesome smoker there Mike. I have seen a few rigs like yours that have a rotisserie in them but that one looks all business to me.

What kind of car is that in your garage..??

That's the wife's Toyota Prius Hybrid.

She got that to balance out the fuel consumption in our household. She gets 46-48 mpg to offset the 10-14 mpg I get in my truck. Wink

Glad to see you posting some pix Mike. If you learned to do what you for a living, you will get the hang of posting a few pix in no time at all.

I have to wonder if you eat any of your BBQ at all, dang, you got the build of a vegetarian.. Wink Laughing

ALL nice pic's guys..........cool to see what everyone has come up with to cook GREAT Q.

Something I learned to help make the Q look sharp..........IF you painted with high temp paint after it dries, take a rag with some vegtable oil on it and rub the Q down good then do a good burn......this will 'set' the seasoning (the oil rub) and leave your Q nice and shinny.
You can do this even AFTER your pit has done several burns to touch it up as the oil does burn off over time.

BBQMAN.......what do YOU use to keep your stainless steel unit clean and shinny on the outside...or do you use anything at all???

Marv

BBQMAN, I was wondering if you used anything on the OUTSIDE to keep it looking shiny??? Or do you just hose it off and call it good???

Just a little degreaser and the power washer is all Marv! I love my stainless! Very Happy

By the way, great advice on keeping the steel looking good. I used to keep a little spray cooking oil on mine, and didnt have too bad a rust problem.
