I just set up wGrill online, which all of you guys can check on line.
It is at my basement, and the IP address will change every day.
I will keep it updated every day for one week for BBQ brethren to check online
Today address is http://123.118.214.137:8080/

By using a proxy server, you can also get a fixed address like
http://oicq.wgrill.net:8080 Then you do not need to care about changing IP every day. I do not do it yet. oicq is in chinese. You guys can find server in English.

Your BBQ team member can joint your competition together when all members are at different corners of the earth as long as they can access Internet.

When you and your kids are playing in the park 10 miles away, you can check your smoker/meat temp. at your backyard from your iPhone

When you are tropical Florida, you can monitor temp. of your house in New York. If temp. drops to certain level, it means a broken window, or a down boiler. You can prevent the broken water pipe before disaster happens

I am a mechanical engineer.
I can set up wGrill up just by written operational manual without any help from I.T. engineer. Most of you brethren shall be able to wGrill up too.

Are you a framer.
As long as your greenhouse has WIFI access, during snow storm, you can stay at your cozy home, just check temp. of your greenhouse from your iPhone. If temp. is normal, you do not need to drive to your greenhouse during snowing night. What is nice night!

When you are on holiday at Florida beach,
Your house in Boston is withstanding 0F snow storm
Is your window glass broken.
Is your boiler failure.
Is your water pipe frozen to burst.
Do not worry
Enjoy your holiday, just watch your iPhone for temp. of your house.

Please do not take wGrill as iGrill

from Amazon.com I find many reviews about iGrill
The links are http://www.amazon.com/iDevices-Grilling-Cooking-Barbecue-Thermometer/product-reviews/B007NDWP46/ref=cm_cr_dp_see_all_btm?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1&sortBy=bySubmissionDateDescending
and http://www.amazon.com/iDevices-7685-IGLK-Thermometer-Discontinued-Manufacturer/product-reviews/B004WG560W/ref=cm_cr_dp_see_all_btm?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1&sortBy=bySubmissionDateDescending
In total 250 reviews of iGrill , there are more "no" then "yes".

main problems:
1.short distance of iGrill's bluetooth
iGrill claims 200 feet, but reality is around 20 to 30 feet.

As contrast wGrill uses an outer antenna, effective distance is well beyond 100 feet. Further more, if you have a Router and I am sure most of you have, you can access wGrill to your home network, and you can view it ANYWHERE

2.Poor quality of probe. not waterproof

In contrary wGrill uses much better probes. the probe is waterproof. You can even calibrate it in boiling water

3.Bad service.

But wGrill is designed and manufactured and SOLD directly in China. There is no middle man to take away most profit. We can afford to service cost. Usually we simply ship a new piece! Indeed all old buyers of V1 got a free set of V2.
V2 took longer time then promised on eBay. We simply sent 2 pieces of V2 for our mistake of later delivery.
