I'm about to start pumping out UDS's and I want my website on them. Should I have vinyl decals made or get a stencil made to spray white paint thru??

Allen, you can make some plates out of sheet metal and stand them off the drum about an inch or so. Or use paint and stencils. There is a high heat vinyl but I have never had any dealings with it.

Get the vinyl shop to cut you stencils made from "Paint mask". This is a special vinyl that will peel off real nice and easy and not leave any residue behind.

I have used masking tape. Use the good stuff so they don't leave tape residue on the drum.

Don't ask how I know..... Shocked

thx guys. I'm going to call the vinyl shop and see what kind of stencils they can make. I will also price getting the welding shop making a laser cut sheet metal stencil. I assume that will be too pricey though.

I was in the sign business for 15 years. Go to a "sign guy" for paint mask, not to "Quicky-Sticky" or "Signs'R'Us".

The sign guy uses paint and vinyl and will know what paint mask is because they use it every day. The quicky vinyl shop will have never had paint on their hands and will likely have to order some in or sell you the wrong stuff...

Your Sign Guy may be ably to supply you with the laser cut material as well. He could make a sign on a metal band that you rivet to the side of your drum... Laser cut to shape... Options are endless...

Good luck and post some picks when you decide what to do.[/u]
