Looking for some wood plans to build this box. Just seem to be able to find pics no plans. Any help? So here is what I have so It's early morn here just got off 16 hour shift from the Illinois Tornados. Praying for all the injured and people who lost everything.

i made my wife a jewelry box once, i just winged it on the plans.

I am going to assume you have looked at Wood magazine a time or two?


If you have not come up with anything by sunday (my day off) i will see what i can do to help you out. (I work 9a-10p the next few so if i am here is will be barley popped,, as I am now)

Ya I looked all over the web and couldn't find the plans for this one. I could probably wing it but don't want to waste a bunch of wood. This is from a tree I cut down about 10 years ago. There was an ad in the paper that said free for the hauling

Oooohhhhh...Purdy wood Laughing . Walnut is one of my favorites. Love the smell of it. You obviously have the skills - Good luck and post some pics when you finish!

That is nice looking wood indeed.

The box looks pretty simple to me. The drawer fronts would seem to be cut from the same piece that makes the front. use a thin kerf blade for sure. I don't get the lines on the side, i assume they are just decoration, but they don't make sense to me.

How thick is your material? Do you have a bandsaw? or planer? When i made my wife a jewelry box, I did 1/2" for the "cabinet" and 1/8" for the side panels of the drawers. (i think, i will measure tomorrow if I remember)

If it were me...I would make a change of plans....that is beautiful wood.....I think you should use
that wood and build your wife a humidor with it. Wink Laughing Laughing
