I was at the sandblasters the other day and after blasting my trailer pit he was rubbing up and down on my leg to build him a smaller version for his own use.
Short story he found some 20" x 3/16 tubes 1 meter and 1.18 meters long. Turns out the scrap metal guy has 150 of them sitting there all rusty.

2 weeks later I have 3 getting close to finished. I got the steel yard to plasma cut the end plates and firebox door.
Ended up finding a guy in Croatia online to make the CAD drawings for $8hr and he kicks ass.
Biggest trouble I have at the moment is finding Hi temp paint here in Argentina as they only sell in aerosol or silver color by the liter.
These first few will be reverse flow then I will make a cheaper version as standard offset.

Pit BBQ's do not exist here, but I will change that.

This is whats left of the piglet my girlfriend gave me for Christmas.
Was 0 degrees (32F) when I lit the pit and within 15 mins was at temp.
Cooking a couple of small briskets and a back leg that I will turn into pulled pork.
I have some Almond wood from a tree I pruned, so will give it a whirl even though it is green.
