I did resize the pics. Maybe because I put so many in the same post? Have to check it out later when I get back to the computer.

I don't know whats going on. I went to photobucket and checked all sizes and they are all 640 on the long side. Thought maybe it was to many pics for one post, so I edited and deleted pics and still nothing. Don't have time to screw with it. maybe later.

Heres the firebox door. It is a heavy SOB. 1/4" x 1" SS angle frame, front skinned with 1/8" stainless, insulated and 5/16" steel on the inside of the FB.

Heres the log rack. 1" rips of 5/16" steel. Still planning on making a basket and ash tray, I just don't have the materials yet.

Heres the handle and latch setup. It pivots at the center of the door on a 1/2" bolt coming through from the back side.

Door is gasketed with fiberglass tadpole gasket. I just took some rips of stainless sheet, and stitch welded them all around, angled up a touch. I then slid the flange of the gasket underneath and bent the sheet metal down with a hammer. seems to have worked well. If the heat starts to mess with it I may have to put a few screws in to keep it pinched down.
