I have a 250 gallon smoker from a propane tank...I think I did my firebox 30"x30"x25". I also did a 6" exhaust pipe 48" long.

Here is the link to my build

I made my box 24x24x30. I have 8, 2 1/2" fresh air inlets. Leave 4 shut all the time and the other 4 half open when I have it lined out. My fire box is mounted right to the tank with no damper. My stack is 6" dia about 30" tall. I hope this helps. I would post pictures but I hate Photo Bucket. My RF plate is fixed. Cooks great.

Check out the sticky for K.A.M.s cooker. I copied a lot of stuff from him.

jw, two to 8" ID connector pipes will work. Depending on your firebox length you may want to use three 6" ID connector pipes evenly spaced.
For your exhaust I would use two 6" ID pipes.
I hope this helps. Very Happy

I thought you were building a reverse flow. Please ignore my reply.
