Cooked an 8.75 lb Butt on Sputnick 1, I used the Ring of fire 2 High and 2 wide 4 chunks of Hickory. Rub was a base of Old Bay topped with Goya With Cumin. I ran Wide open on this one Sputnick 1 held 300 steady. Butt hit the grate at 0830 wraped at 1230 off & resting by 2 on the counter.

What's that silver stuff on the outside!

I thought you said you didn't use foil?

So did you wrap and cook with the Texas Crutch, or was it just wrapped in foil to rest it? Razz

Perhaps butchers paper would be better?

Actually it was a foil boat inside the paper to save some Aus Jus

While I do like just S & P and some times just S or completely Neked this is savory and lets the natural Poky sweetness come through. The next one I will probably just cut the bag off an plop it on to cook in all its neked slender.

But there are stains on both "sides" of the foil boat, and no sight of the paper anywhere at all.

Ya Know SOEZZY your Right You are full of chit I hear allot of Stinky wind coming out of SLC From someone who bloviates but never seems to post a cook just bitch like my nag of an X wife about other peoples cooks and pictures that are too large.
