Parenting has changed drastically the last 30 years and were seeing these gems in the workforce now. Everyone's special, everyone gets a trophy, kids aren't taught to compete and work.

I grew up pretty poor, has my first paper route by 8, spent the summers mowing lawns and doing odd jobs, Anything to get enough scratch for that next new Atari 2600 video game ($30 in 1980! About a months wages to a 10 year old!)

Now its play dates and activities and we are the benefactors off this generation who just simply doesn't know how to work. It's going to get worse before it gets better so when you find good ones, hold onto them!

Fewer and fewer parents are really parenting their kids anymore. They are letting the school do it for them and the teachers can only do so much as they are overworked already. This leads to the self entitlement that kids and now young adults seem to exhibit these days. A good work ethic is taught and reenforced to our kids and if it's not...... well we know what to expect.
