85'mins on the OldSmokey
never turned/touched

50/50 mayo / Italian dressing
with SuperPig mixed in
the Mrs.Dash lemon pepper (no salt) on top

juicy, fall apart
with incredible skin

the advantange of the 8" between the fire pan &the grill on the OldSmokey (Weber is 5")

the chicken is high enough over the charcoal that you don't have to worry about flair-ups, burnt chicken

it sure makes cooking chicken easy

Looks great!

I cooked many a piece of chicken and some briskets on an Old Smokey in my much younger days, over all mesquite. It sure beat up the cooker with the heat as the mesquite burned to coals, but always turned out great product. The trick was knowing what stage of the fire to put the food on the grate.
