Better late than never....last weekend was a long weekend for us Canadians to
celebrate Canada Day...here are a few random pics of how things went.
Made up some ABT's...did up some beans that I let take on some smoke in my BGE.
Cooked up 10 racks of the thickest meatiest loin back ribs...I thought there was 3 racks in a pack...
there was only two and very thick...not my preference but thats what I got.....everyone loved them....thats all that mattered. Very Happy

I season up 5 racks with Big Ron's HoH and 5 with Ted Readers Bone Dust.....some were left dry rubbed
and some had Sweet Chili BBQ sauce.

This is Bella....my Rib Security Dog...belongs to a friend great dog..Italian Mastiff

Mr Skewer looking all happy in the above pic Laughing

Must have done okay the way everyone was shoving it in. Laughing

Even parrots like ribs for dinner.....this guy named Fred...just
celebrated his 36th birthday.

CB that looks like a great cook for a Canada Day celebration. Looks like everyone was enjoying the food and drink including the old timer Fred!!

In a couple of weeks I'm doing 12 slabs of loin backs for a friends family reunion on my Marshall. Did 10 slabs go smooth....did you juggle them around .......do you think with 12 slabs I should use racks or juggle them around?

Food looks awesome and all the people look quite happy chowing down. Happy belated Canada Day to you and yours!

BTW - That's one good looking pooch, although I think the only 'Security' he would provide is if you tried to take a rib away from him Laughing

K.C... I used the rib racks for the first 3 hours so i could cook as far away from the fire box.. Ten racks of ribs on the grates is a tight fit in that cooker.
After three hours i pulled them from the rib racks and layed them on the grates......then i could move them around a bit the last couple of hours and not worry if they did overlap a bit.

Great looking feast, Rick!
A big gang for your wee little yard. Razz Wink My yard is puny, too. Confused

In my previous marriage, we had a Neapolitan mastiff ... she was huge.
When she smelled anything good, the drooling became almost uncontrollable.
Had to keep towels handy. Very Happy I miss that dog ... not the ex, though. Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

Wow. I was wondering if there was ever gonna be a post. Well folks it's a pretty straight forward story with no sugar coating. I was very appreciative that my good friend Rick went out of his way to invite me for the first time to his yearly get together with old friends. It was a no brainer. I said yes to hangin around a great guy while eating some great food. Rick I wanna thank you for having me over and the food was out of this world. That doesn't need mentioning because I was expecting it anyways. I will give honourable mention to those beans. Rick they turned out a thing a beauty. In closing i'd like to add that I went into an environment where good friends were hanging out, and I never met any of them. But they made me feel right at home as if I've known them all my life. Thanks again buddy. Now you're screwed. I'll be expecting an invitiation from here on end, Or else. Twisted Evil

P.S. Thanks for not posting "that picture". Laughing
