Hey fems and fellas! I'm known around the internet as TW, and I'm glad to join your forum. I'm 19 years old, training for the USAF, and I'm fresh meat when it comes to real barbecue and smoking. I've inherited my grandfather's Brinkmann Barrel Smoker that's as old as I am and I intend to use it. Please bear with me when I have questions. As I said, I'm new. I make my own sauces and rubs, and prefer wood over charcoal and charcoal over electrics, LP, and natural gas. As of tonight (5/30/13), I have barbecued my first real barbecue. I made some delicious dry rubbed salmon and chicken, so I would say I have an aptitude for outdoor cooking. (I also make a pretty good mead!) I'm glad to be here and am excited to be a part of this community.
Cheers & Happy cooking! |

Welcome to the forums!
Here's a saying from a long way away both in time and distance, "when in need...drink some mead"! Thanks for stiring the memories of a great friend and mead maker, Ian Bothwell RIP!
He was often in need, and was more than willing to share his need with anyone else that had one. _________________ Here's a change Robert.
