I don't want to do it anymore. Someone else can moderate it. I'm done.

6. Anyone that signs up and don't submit an entry will have their name splattered in mud in the general BBQ discussion section of the forum. At that time we will all take turns shooting spit-wads, throwing yellow snowballs (probably a good idea to wear gloves for this), and chanting so&so is a welch, photshoping your picture just under the tail of a donkey, then added to the LIARs club list.

Does this count for moderators Question

This rule has now been adjusted to:

6. Anyone that signs up and don't submit an entry will have their name splattered in mud in the Throwdown section of the forum. At that time we will all take turns shooting spit-wads, throwing yellow snowballs (probably a good idea to wear gloves for this), and chanting so&so is a welch, photoshoping your picture just under the tail of a donkey, then removing from the LIARs club list.

I think it sucks that I can't post a post saying "Go vote in throwdown" Many people just don't pay attention to other threads. I don't want to talk smack about it, I don't want to post naked pics of myself with bacon blocking the girly parts, I don't want to post a 3 page whiner about voting for me. Just a 1 post reminder saying HEY there's a throwdown. Another a couple of weeks later saying VOTE and that's it. That's different than smack talking or pointing out my sausage recipe in the sausage forum. It's a site contest. The other 2 throw downs were able to but now all of a sudden with the dessert one we have to be all proper.

Due to my deep admiration for Jarhead I am rejoining the throwdown. Call me names if you must, although Troy you need to call me something other than my name to make it effective. Shocked

Thank you Manana.
I'm sure this throwdown will be great. Even with a few bumps along the way. Very Happy

OK.....Now that we're back on track...... Very Happy

I wonder / suppose it would be OK to mention or refer to an ongoing throwdown in regular general section posting, if it's in context ?

For instance, Ray said something about the charcoal I was using & i responded saying I was going to use something different in the bacon throwdown......a little more hit & miss, but some people will pick up on the fact...... Rolling Eyes

I do not know you well. So no I don't get calling someone a Mary so therefore again in my case it would be a fairly ineffective insult if I didn't know what you're talking about. I will take your word for it though and try and be properly insulted.

My e-feelings were not hurt. I was pissed. Still am but after having a heart to heart with my dear friend Jarhead, I agreed to do the throwdown. I'm fairly certain you won't see me moderating any more of them.

Well Manana my two cents on this whole situation is this. I joined the Smoke Ring in 2008 knowing it's a Mans playground. There's been Women join hang out for awhile, gripe about the unfairness of the almost naked women pics, try and out testosterone the men, fail at it and quit participating. I pop in and out from time to time with a cook or a comment, because I don't speak their language. There was a time I posted a gorgeous Angel, all he had on was a loin cloth and wings. I might have gotten away with it if I hadn't put it as my avatar 3 sized to big, which started an avatar war as to see who could put the biggest raunchiest one they could find Laughing
So, I said all that to say this, as a woman to be in here, out numbered by men, just know you might not win in a war of the words. Post, participate, have fun, don't let what others say make you quit being in here if you want to be here, and by all means don't let your feelings get hurt. I'm sharing what I've learned Very Happy
