GF - Thanks I admit bait does come to mind but once it firmed up it looked a lot more appetizing.

Buckie- I do that a lot wife hates me for being able to cook something with nothing or have something not turn out right and save it.

Years back I had some "clam chowder" it was sooo good but I couldn't figure out what the flowery look stuff in it was,tasted good like clams but I never seen clams do that.so after I asked the cook she said did you like it?I said yea it's really good,so what are the flowery looking stuff.she said have another bowl then i'll tell you.so I did long story short but it was squid and octopus.I'm a fan!

I could see that being very good, gives me a hankering to make some chowder.

Have tried octopus and squid many times over the years hoping to like it. I never do.
