The smoked turkey and 4lbs. of sausage getting happy. Very Happy


Roux ready for the trinity.


Roux is ready to meet the stock.


Gumbo getting happy with 24 eggs.


Time to add 3lbs of cooked okra.


Debbie's bowl for the evening with a dash of file. Very Happy

That is some outstanding looking gumbo k.a.m.!!! It was in the 40's here late night a couple of times this weekend and I was sitting out around the fire. Now you have given me gumbo on the brain so that is all beginning to add up to gubo at the k.c.hawg house. Thanks for sharing.

Jason, yes the metal spoon is actually called a roux spoon. I use it when I add my trinity, the shape is really nice for moving the roux around.
