I have been wanting to try a competition for quite some time but always managed to talk myself out of it
A local Ace hardware had an event last weekend as a fundraiser for the Childrens Miracle Network, so I figured
what a great way to get my feet wet
All loaded and ready to go
Set up and ready to fire the cookers
So I entered all three catagories and thought if I could walk just once, it would be great. Well I ended up winning poultry and finished fifth out of fifteen teams overall
Now keep in mind this is not a sanctioned event and is pretty low key, especially with the garnish I definitely
have the comp fever now and can't wait for the next one.
Winning chicken thighs
Smoked chuck roast
Loin back ribs
A great day for a great cause, thanks for looking _________________ "Everything in moderation, including moderation"
