Looking to start doing some competitions next year. At the same time I'm looking into the future with the possibility of doing some vending/catering or even opening a small raunt(a guy has to have dreams) using the same name. So I'm hoping to find a name that works for both. I have one or two I like but want others opinions. Thanks

If you go on kcbs and type in any names your thinking of,you can see if there is a team already.

or you can check the nationalbbqrankings.com

that would be a list of all the teams with a top 10 in the last 2 years in KCBS, FBA, GBA, some PNWBA, and MBN.

get them all in one spot.

I would also recommend keeping it simple. reps are never going to spell it right or consistently if you make it too difficult.

If you want people to remember it for business reasons, something like your name is a good start. Husker John BBQ is simple enough...

Used to listen to a power punk group called Husker Du. Might I suggest Husker Qu and make sure you put the 2 little dots over the letter "u".

Try to find a name that is about you, and don't use cartoon animals in your logo. You do not have to have a cute name that's a play on BBQ words, that's getting old anyway. Take your time and choose an original name. My favorite new team name is "The Worms". If you know anything about the oil field it's a cool name. There is no hurry to choose.

How about...

QUEen for the Day (if you are royalty)
Bar-B-Queer (If you are light in the loafers)
Cow Pokers (If you are a tough cowboy)
Where are the Sheep? (If you are lonely)
Peach wood is for sissys! (if you aren't a Myron M fan)
Burnin' Butts (If hot peppers dont agree with you)

I can go on...
