Usually Friday after a hard weeks work I like to order a pizza, but after seeing Roxy's pies a few weeks back I was inspired to build my own...the BGE works so well for pizza.

I bought a fresh dough and started my build....Pepperoni,mushrooms,bacon,green pepper and cheese.I heated the egg up and buried the needle..ended up cooking for 12-14 minutes at 700 degrees.Turned out awesome and washed a few slices down with a nice dark ale...I will let the pictures tell the tale.

16 inch pie

Mmm bacon

Shrooms

Green pepper and Italian Skewers farm fresh Mozzarella

Pepperoni & Cheese

The Build

Sauced

Cheesed

Bacon

Green Pepper

Shrooms

Fresh Mozzarella

Pepperoni and a little more cheese

BGE all warmed up

About 8 minutes in

Done and resting a couple minutes

It's a beautiful thing

Wow Rick. That pizza turned out awesome. I'll tell you one thing. I have no idea how that mozzarella tastes on a pizza. I can honestly tell you, i have never put that mozzarella on anything. I just love eating the thing on its own. I just don't know how the thing burns in high heat. Don't know what the results were, but man that pizza sure looks healthy. Hammering down with the new ale i see. Talk to ya.

Damn fine looking pie. I don't have a BGE, but have a recipe to do it on a Weber 22.5 Gold, but laying bricks on the grate. Your recipe looks like a winner. Homemade dough? Very Happy

Sorry..............I answered my own question when I reread your post. "Bought a fresh dough." I've never made a pizza, so I could use some suggestions on what kind of dough to buy. I've seen some at Wal-Mart in the bread section also.

Nice looking pie there CB and I bet it tasted better than the one you normally order out.

I am surprised some of your hot peppers did not make it onto the pizza.

It is getting on to be pizza night again and I promised Maceggs a belly full before the snow flies.. Laughing

Very Happy

Thanks Killswitch505...they are good cookers.

Thanks Mark...I am sure Roxy will feed you well when the time comes. Wink Laughing
