X3's first smoke at its new home!

X3 fits in perfect at its new home and the new owner is still beside himself that its sitting in his backyard Laughing This build was fun, a learning process, stressful and very rewarding to say the least.

Mr. Troy (Smoker?) TrailerBuilder...Hey Smoke, as mentioned many times before, i call it finding them a good home. This one had a good home to go to from the beginning. These 3 pics are priceless. She looks great in her new surroundings. As fine a cooker as I have seen, with extra credit for supplying a happy owner to go with. Bad Azz for many reasons Bro, you nailed it, Right On!! Very Happy Very Happy

I am sure Pete will have many enjoyable cooks on it. Tell him congrats for me.

Kevin, Thanks my friend Very Happy The cooker turned out awesome and I appreciate all the help and "I told you so" that I had to endure on this venture. Always an honor to have you tag along for the ride. And of course you think the square door cooker looks better than the round door Rolling Eyes If you would have talked me into an inside out door, you would have thought that it was the best looking too Laughing Make sure you can fit all your bags in the truck because we will fill the bed with hickory my friend. Looking forward to you and Debbies visit Very Happy

MacEggs, Thanks for the kind words. It was a fun build for sure.

GF, Thanks! It turned out well above my expectations. Trying to build X4 in my head as we speak Very Happy

Mike, bro, thank you for all your help and square door encouragement on this build. Its always an honor to have you on board. Thanks for the kind word also. Couple welding projects and maybe play with a Santa Maria a bit and then well be off to building more Very Happy

Jarhead John, Thanks my friend. Pete is pretty stoked about the cooker for sure. Im sure some of the recipes you shared with him will find there way on there.

Ernie, Thanks bro Very Happy

Denny, Thanks brother! If you pack your bags and head over when the rest of them do in a couple weeks, Ill show you where he keeps the keg in the back yard Shocked

The fire is lit for the 1st cook Very Happy

Pretty varied menu for a first cook, couple slabs of ribs, a pork butt and a beer can bird.

Running nice

Smokin like a champ!

Not a bad looking first cook Cool

The Ribs

The bird

The butt

Shredded Very Happy

All in all Id say my buddy Pete had a great 1st cook. He had a few frustrations but nothing that a few more cooks and a little learning of the cooker wont solve. I didnt get to make this feast, so I just got pictures via my phone, but Im sure Ill make one soon Very Happy

TrailerBuilder, that's a heck of a first shot! Very Happy
It is kinda tough doing ribs, butt and a bird all at one time. Shocked

I'm sure a few more cooks and he'll have that cooker down. Very Happy

Tell him nice job. Very Happy

Kevin, Ill pass the word on to Pete. Wish the weather would have been warmer that day and the pool was open, we probably would have put a hurting on the keg sitting out there that day Shocked Laughing

Maniac, Thanks man Very Happy Ill relay the message to Pete on his cook. I thought he was taking a big bite on his first go around myself, but he did a bang up job on all of it Cool
