Don't know if anyone would be interested but this festival in Ft. Thomas, Ky. (5 minutes south of cincy) still has room for vendors.

I believe the cost for a 10x10 booth is $175.00. Last year they had over 10,000 people and are expecting a similar crowd this year. I am in no way affiliated with the event, I just hope someone comes so I can get some good Q without firing up the cooker Wink

The phone number and application are on the website. I would be happy to help if anyone needed a face-to-face liason in the area. BTW, Ft. Thomas is a very family friendly, upscale, clean and safe city.

DP, I wish I was closer.
Seems the only BBQ competition is from a Cafe/Pizzeria called Sarelli's and it's probably pre-made.
Why don't you partner up with somebody in the area?

Jarhead, I'm not really sure what you mean by "partner up", but I would have no idea about vending. I sometimes cook for groups of people (15-20), but they are normally too drunk/hungry to be really picky about the food. (Although I AM). I would have NO idea how to prepare for 10K. Embarassed

Sorry, Mr. Tony, it wasn't meant to be a slight. Embarassed
I mentioned the tri-state area only, simply for the reasons you listed above. Figured farther than that would be cost prohibitive.
I have a realtor friend who has eaten my Q (and survived), who is on the committee. He is aware of my stealing methods and recipes from the TSR and thought a Q booth would be awesome. I agreed.

Partnering with up someone that may have a bigger cooker and knowledge gets you some dough and experience. I have enjoyed a little partnership/friendship forged here on the ring with someone that is local. While we have not or i dont think we want to deal with a 10,000 head count event we certainly have had chits and giggles doing what we have done.
Personally i have prepped and cooked for what was to be 200(160 showed). It is not much different than say 20, 40, or 100.
