700 pounds in 14 hours

Between Friday night and Saturday all day, vending at Grillin in Grafton KCBS comp. I managed to sell out 2 days in a row. Had a line 40 people deep ALL of Friday night [open 4-9], most of Saturday afternoon!![open 12-9 ] Didnt know I could fit 450 pounds on the Lang [ Sat] ....had brisket stacked, evening them out as they sold!!!
Didnt take many pics, too busy trying not to fall asleep


Managed to squeeze 22 butts on the bottom rack, briskets above [ no pic...] dripping on butts!! They were hanging over the ends of the racks, touching front and back walls!!!
Made twice as much money in those 14 open hours than I did in 5 days at our county fair - love me some Comp. vending!!!
Had local papers and sponsors in my rig taking pics at my line and food, will share when I get them!
Quick cook for 45 today, then sleep a day or two

Thanks fish&q, a bit more than she's "rated" for, but with one Q vendor no-showing, and the other selling sub-par q, I saw the need to push the envelope and take some weight related chances!! Even had a couple monster Briskets in the rib box which was holding 225° no problem, along with 2 6" hotel pans of beans at all times!! It was surreal man!

Thanks Ken, took a couple days to recover...then I headed 200 or so miles across WSisconsin to help out my Pastor buddy, did a charity cook of 120 or so pounds of beef and pork....Seemed like childs play after that HUGE Q weekend!!!!lol! May only happen once in a while, but I can hope for several cooks like that big-un!
